Barangay Banilad

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Banilad is one of the administrative divisions of City of Tayabas in Quezon, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Banilad had a population of 193. This made it the 63rd largest of 66 barangays in City of Tayabas by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Banilad accounted for approximately 0.17% of the total population of City of Tayabas, which stood at 112,658 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 123 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 193 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +56.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Banilad as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Tayabas is a city comprising 66 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Banilad, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Quezon, which contains 1,242 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Banilad ranks 1181st by 2020 population.
