Barangay IX

Barangay IX is a large barangay in the City of Victorias, located in the province of Negros Occidental, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay IX had a population of 5,648. This made it the 6th largest of 26 barangays in City of Victorias by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay IX accounted for approximately 6.27% of the total population of City of Victorias, which stood at 90,101 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay IX moving from 6,739 residents to 5,648 residents, an intercensal change of -16.2%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay IX is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
