Barangay Panampawan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Panampawan is one of the administrative divisions of Claveria in Misamis Oriental, Northern Mindanao, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Panampawan had a population of 852. This made it the 21st largest of 24 barangays in Claveria by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Panampawan accounted for approximately 1.62% of the total population of Claveria, which stood at 52,478 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 865 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 852 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -1.5%, consistent with a broadly stable settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Panampawan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Claveria is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Panampawan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Misamis Oriental, which contains 504 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Panampawan ranks 317th by 2020 population. Barangay Panampawan is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth.
