Barangay Emmanuel

Situated in Cuenca, Batangas, Barangay Emmanuel is one of 21 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Emmanuel had a population of 2,320. This made it the 6th largest of 21 barangays in Cuenca by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Emmanuel accounted for approximately 6.40% of the total population of Cuenca, which stood at 36,235 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,985 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,320 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +16.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Emmanuel is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Cuenca is a municipality comprising 21 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Emmanuel, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Batangas, which contains 1,078 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Emmanuel ranks 438th by 2020 population. The next BSKE is scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, following the synchronized election schedule set by COMELEC Resolution No. 11191.
