Barangay Latap

Situated in Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija, Barangay Latap is one of 51 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Latap had a population of 2,204. This made it the 3rd largest of 51 barangays in Cuyapo by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Latap accounted for approximately 3.24% of the total population of Cuyapo, which stood at 68,066 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,169 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,204 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +1.6%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. Barangay Latap is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Cuyapo is a municipality comprising 51 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Latap, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
