Barangay Pugo

Barangay Pugo is a small barangay in the municipality of Cuyapo, located in the province of Nueva Ecija, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Pugo had a population of 660. This made it the 47th largest of 51 barangays in Cuyapo by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pugo accounted for approximately 0.97% of the total population of Cuyapo, which stood at 68,066 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Pugo moving from 665 residents to 660 residents, an intercensal change of -0.8%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. Barangay Pugo is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Cuyapo is a municipality comprising 51 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pugo, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
