Barangay Calipayan

Barangay Calipayan is a small barangay in the municipality of Dagami, located in the province of Leyte, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Calipayan had a population of 1,139. This made it the 4th largest of 65 barangays in Dagami by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Calipayan accounted for approximately 3.15% of the total population of Dagami, which stood at 36,178 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Calipayan moving from 1,054 residents to 1,139 residents, an intercensal change of +8.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Calipayan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
