Barangay Hiabangan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Hiabangan is one of the administrative divisions of Dagami in Leyte, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Hiabangan had a population of 1,126. This made it the 5th largest of 65 barangays in Dagami by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Hiabangan accounted for approximately 3.11% of the total population of Dagami, which stood at 36,178 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Hiabangan moving from 1,151 residents to 1,126 residents, an intercensal change of -2.2%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Hiabangan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
