Barangay Maliwaliw

Situated in Dagami, Leyte, Barangay Maliwaliw is one of 65 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Maliwaliw had a population of 590. This made it the 25th largest of 65 barangays in Dagami by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Maliwaliw accounted for approximately 1.63% of the total population of Dagami, which stood at 36,178 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 552 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 590 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +6.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Maliwaliw is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
