Barangay Malones

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Malones is one of the administrative divisions of Dalaguete in Cebu, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Malones had a population of 1,253. This made it the 25th largest of 33 barangays in Dalaguete by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Malones accounted for approximately 1.68% of the total population of Dalaguete, which stood at 74,596 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Malones moving from 1,291 residents to 1,253 residents, an intercensal change of -2.9%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Malones is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dalaguete is a municipality comprising 33 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Malones, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
