Barangay Maloray

Situated in Dalaguete, Cebu, Barangay Maloray is one of 33 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Maloray had a population of 1,007. This made it the 28th largest of 33 barangays in Dalaguete by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Maloray accounted for approximately 1.35% of the total population of Dalaguete, which stood at 74,596 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 941 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,007 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +7.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Maloray is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dalaguete is a municipality comprising 33 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Maloray, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
