Barangay Cabac

Situated in Daram, Samar, Barangay Cabac is one of 58 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Cabac had a population of 643. This made it the 27th largest of 58 barangays in Daram by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cabac accounted for approximately 1.55% of the total population of Daram, which stood at 41,608 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cabac moving from 673 residents to 643 residents, an intercensal change of -4.5%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Cabac is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Daram is a municipality comprising 58 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cabac, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
