Barangay Gabriela Silang

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Gabriela Silang is one of the administrative divisions of Diffun in Quirino, Cagayan Valley, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Gabriela Silang had a population of 2,108. This made it the 7th largest of 33 barangays in Diffun by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Gabriela Silang accounted for approximately 3.76% of the total population of Diffun, which stood at 56,102 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,150 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,108 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -2.0%, consistent with a broadly stable settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Gabriela Silang as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Diffun is a municipality comprising 33 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Gabriela Silang, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Quirino, which contains 132 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Gabriela Silang ranks 27th by 2020 population.
