Barangay Sugbay Uno

Barangay Sugbay Uno is a small barangay in the municipality of Dimataling, located in the province of Zamboanga Del Sur, in the Zamboanga Peninsula region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Sugbay Uno had a population of 1,130. This made it the 12th largest of 24 barangays in Dimataling by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sugbay Uno accounted for approximately 3.61% of the total population of Dimataling, which stood at 31,340 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Sugbay Uno changed from 1,134 to 1,130, a shift of -0.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with broadly stable populations in Dimataling. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Sugbay Uno as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
