Barangay Tinggabulong

Situated in Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur, Barangay Tinggabulong is one of 24 barangays that make up the municipality within Zamboanga Peninsula.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tinggabulong had a population of 1,595. This made it the 7th largest of 24 barangays in Dimataling by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tinggabulong accounted for approximately 5.09% of the total population of Dimataling, which stood at 31,340 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,377 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,595 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +15.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Tinggabulong is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
