Barangay Datag

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Datag is one of the administrative divisions of Dimiao in Bohol, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Datag had a population of 231. This made it the 28th largest of 35 barangays in Dimiao by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Datag accounted for approximately 1.55% of the total population of Dimiao, which stood at 14,889 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Datag changed from 241 to 231, a shift of -4.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Dimiao. Barangay Datag is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dimiao is a municipality comprising 35 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Datag, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bohol, which contains 1,109 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Datag ranks 1084th by 2020 population.
