Barangay Oac

Situated in Dimiao, Bohol, Barangay Oac is one of 35 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Oac had a population of 794. This made it the 3rd largest of 35 barangays in Dimiao by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Oac accounted for approximately 5.33% of the total population of Dimiao, which stood at 14,889 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Oac changed from 732 to 794, a shift of +8.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Dimiao. Barangay Oac is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dimiao is a municipality comprising 35 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Oac, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
