Barangay Maraymaray

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Maraymaray is one of the administrative divisions of Don Carlos in Bukidnon, Northern Mindanao, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Maraymaray had a population of 3,088. This made it the 7th largest of 29 barangays in Don Carlos by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Maraymaray accounted for approximately 4.46% of the total population of Don Carlos, which stood at 69,273 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,112 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,088 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -0.8%, consistent with a broadly stable settlement. Barangay Maraymaray is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Don Carlos is a municipality comprising 29 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Maraymaray, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bukidnon, which contains 464 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Maraymaray ranks 161st by 2020 population. Barangay Maraymaray is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
