Barangay Poblacion

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay Poblacion is one of the administrative divisions of Esperanza in Agusan Del Sur, Caraga, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion had a population of 5,219. This made it the 1st largest of 47 barangays in Esperanza by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion accounted for approximately 8.79% of the total population of Esperanza, which stood at 59,353 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Poblacion moving from 4,778 residents to 5,219 residents, an intercensal change of +9.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Poblacion is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
