Situated in Esperanza, Agusan Del Sur, Barangay Remedios is one of 47 barangays that make up the municipality within Caraga.

This made it the 13th largest of 47 barangays in Esperanza by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Remedios accounted for approximately 2.71% of the total population of Esperanza, which stood at 59,353 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Remedios moving from 1,447 residents to 1,611 residents, an intercensal change of +11.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
