Barangay Tacbuyan

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Tacbuyan is one of the administrative divisions of Estancia in Iloilo, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tacbuyan had a population of 4,504. This made it the 2nd largest of 25 barangays in Estancia by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tacbuyan accounted for approximately 8.47% of the total population of Estancia, which stood at 53,200 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tacbuyan moving from 2,213 residents to 4,504 residents, an intercensal change of +103.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Tacbuyan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Estancia is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tacbuyan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
