Barangay Kawit

Barangay Kawit is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Gloria, located in the province of Oriental Mindoro, in the MIMAROPA Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Kawit had a population of 2,404. This made it the 8th largest of 27 barangays in Gloria by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Kawit accounted for approximately 4.76% of the total population of Gloria, which stood at 50,496 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Kawit moving from 2,022 residents to 2,404 residents, an intercensal change of +18.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
