Barangay Catagbacan

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Catagbacan is one of the administrative divisions of Goa in Camarines Sur, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Catagbacan had a population of 4,551. This made it the 2nd largest of 34 barangays in Goa by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Catagbacan accounted for approximately 6.38% of the total population of Goa, which stood at 71,368 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Catagbacan moving from 3,915 residents to 4,551 residents, an intercensal change of +16.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Catagbacan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Goa is a municipality comprising 34 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Catagbacan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
