Barangay La Libertad

Situated in Gutalac, Zamboanga Del Norte, Barangay La Libertad is one of 33 barangays that make up the municipality within Zamboanga Peninsula.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay La Libertad had a population of 1,382. This made it the 11th largest of 33 barangays in Gutalac by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay La Libertad accounted for approximately 3.83% of the total population of Gutalac, which stood at 36,090 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay La Libertad moving from 1,308 residents to 1,382 residents, an intercensal change of +5.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay La Libertad as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
