Barangay Baas

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Baas is one of the administrative divisions of Hilongos in Leyte, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Baas had a population of 937. This made it the 30th largest of 51 barangays in Hilongos by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Baas accounted for approximately 1.45% of the total population of Hilongos, which stood at 64,514 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Baas moving from 1,020 residents to 937 residents, an intercensal change of -8.1%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community.
