Barangay Tuburan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Tuburan is one of the administrative divisions of Hinunangan in Southern Leyte, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tuburan had a population of 587. This made it the 25th largest of 40 barangays in Hinunangan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tuburan accounted for approximately 2.01% of the total population of Hinunangan, which stood at 29,149 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tuburan moving from 635 residents to 587 residents, an intercensal change of -7.6%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Tuburan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
