Barangay Mina-a

Situated in Ibajay, Aklan, Barangay Mina-a is one of 35 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Mina-a had a population of 708. This made it the 30th largest of 35 barangays in Ibajay by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mina-a accounted for approximately 1.35% of the total population of Ibajay, which stood at 52,364 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 683 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 708 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +3.7%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Mina-a is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Ibajay is a municipality comprising 35 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Mina-a, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
