Barangay Polo

Situated in Ibajay, Aklan, Barangay Polo is one of 35 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Polo had a population of 1,250. This made it the 17th largest of 35 barangays in Ibajay by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Polo accounted for approximately 2.39% of the total population of Ibajay, which stood at 52,364 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Polo moving from 1,095 residents to 1,250 residents, an intercensal change of +14.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Polo is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
