Barangay San Jose

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay San Jose is one of the administrative divisions of Ibajay in Aklan, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Jose had a population of 2,156. This made it the 9th largest of 35 barangays in Ibajay by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Jose accounted for approximately 4.12% of the total population of Ibajay, which stood at 52,364 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Jose moving from 2,048 residents to 2,156 residents, an intercensal change of +5.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Jose as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
