Barangay Buenavista

Situated in Irosin, Sorsogon, Barangay Buenavista is one of 28 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Buenavista had a population of 1,461. This made it the 17th largest of 28 barangays in Irosin by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Buenavista accounted for approximately 2.47% of the total population of Irosin, which stood at 59,267 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Buenavista moving from 1,320 residents to 1,461 residents, an intercensal change of +10.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Buenavista as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
