Barangay Consolacion

Situated in Isabel, Leyte, Barangay Consolacion is one of 24 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Consolacion had a population of 706. This made it the 19th largest of 24 barangays in Isabel by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Consolacion accounted for approximately 1.51% of the total population of Isabel, which stood at 46,781 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 566 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 706 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +24.7%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Consolacion is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Isabel is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Consolacion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
