Barangay 9 (Pob.)

Barangay 9 (Pob.) is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Isabela, located in the province of Negros Occidental, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay 9 (Pob.) had a population of 2,154. This made it the 10th largest of 30 barangays in Isabela by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay 9 (Pob.) accounted for approximately 3.34% of the total population of Isabela, which stood at 64,516 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay 9 (Pob.) moving from 2,405 residents to 2,154 residents, an intercensal change of -10.4%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay 9 (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
