Barangay Kalawag II (Pob.)

Situated in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat, Barangay Kalawag II (Pob.) is one of 17 barangays that make up the municipality within SOCCSKSARGEN.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Kalawag II (Pob.) had a population of 16,769. This made it the 1st largest of 17 barangays in Isulan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Kalawag II (Pob.) accounted for approximately 17.20% of the total population of Isulan, which stood at 97,490 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 15,330 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 16,769 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +9.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Kalawag II (Pob.) as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Isulan is a municipality comprising 17 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Kalawag II (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
