Barangay Marawa

Barangay Marawa is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Jaen, located in the province of Nueva Ecija, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Marawa had a population of 4,655. This made it the 4th largest of 27 barangays in Jaen by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Marawa accounted for approximately 5.88% of the total population of Jaen, which stood at 79,189 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Marawa moving from 4,541 residents to 4,655 residents, an intercensal change of +2.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Marawa is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Jaen is a municipality comprising 27 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Marawa, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
