Barangay Puting Sapa

Situated in Juban, Sorsogon, Barangay Puting Sapa is one of 25 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Puting Sapa had a population of 927. This made it the 17th largest of 25 barangays in Juban by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Puting Sapa accounted for approximately 2.63% of the total population of Juban, which stood at 35,297 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 791 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 927 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +17.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Puting Sapa is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Juban is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Puting Sapa, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Sorsogon, which contains 541 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Puting Sapa ranks 351st by 2020 population.
