Barangay Dagupan

Situated in Kabacan, Cotabato, Barangay Dagupan is one of 24 barangays that make up the municipality within SOCCSKSARGEN.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Dagupan had a population of 3,405. This made it the 10th largest of 24 barangays in Kabacan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dagupan accounted for approximately 3.63% of the total population of Kabacan, which stood at 93,822 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Dagupan changed from 2,747 to 3,405, a shift of +24.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Kabacan. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Dagupan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Kabacan is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Dagupan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
