Barangay Cathedral Falls

Situated in Kapatagan, Lanao Del Norte, Barangay Cathedral Falls is one of 33 barangays that make up the municipality within Northern Mindanao.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Cathedral Falls had a population of 936. This made it the 21st largest of 33 barangays in Kapatagan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cathedral Falls accounted for approximately 1.50% of the total population of Kapatagan, which stood at 62,571 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 858 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 936 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +9.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Cathedral Falls as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Kapatagan is a municipality comprising 33 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cathedral Falls, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
