Barangay Bagong Silang

Situated in Kiblawan, Davao Del Sur, Barangay Bagong Silang is one of 30 barangays that make up the municipality within Davao Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bagong Silang had a population of 389. This made it the 29th largest of 30 barangays in Kiblawan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bagong Silang accounted for approximately 0.79% of the total population of Kiblawan, which stood at 49,381 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 362 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 389 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +7.5%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Bagong Silang is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
