Barangay Kitaihon

Situated in Kitaotao, Bukidnon, Barangay Kitaihon is one of 35 barangays that make up the municipality within Northern Mindanao.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Kitaihon had a population of 392. This made it the 35th largest of 35 barangays in Kitaotao by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Kitaihon accounted for approximately 0.73% of the total population of Kitaotao, which stood at 53,796 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Kitaihon moving from 544 residents to 392 residents, an intercensal change of -27.9%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Kitaihon as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Kitaotao is a municipality comprising 35 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Kitaihon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
