Barangay West Dalurong

Barangay West Dalurong is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Kitaotao, located in the province of Bukidnon, in the Northern Mindanao region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay West Dalurong had a population of 2,207. This made it the 6th largest of 35 barangays in Kitaotao by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay West Dalurong accounted for approximately 4.10% of the total population of Kitaotao, which stood at 53,796 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay West Dalurong changed from 1,981 to 2,207, a shift of +11.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Kitaotao. Barangay West Dalurong is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Kitaotao is a municipality comprising 35 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay West Dalurong, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bukidnon, which contains 464 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay West Dalurong ranks 243rd by 2020 population. Bukidnon is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.

The next BSKE is scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, following the synchronized election schedule set by COMELEC Resolution No. 11191.
