Barangay Gimagtocon

Barangay Gimagtocon is a small barangay in the municipality of Lagonoy, located in the province of Camarines Sur, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Gimagtocon had a population of 1,270. This made it the 19th largest of 38 barangays in Lagonoy by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Gimagtocon accounted for approximately 2.24% of the total population of Lagonoy, which stood at 56,714 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Gimagtocon changed from 1,347 to 1,270, a shift of -5.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Lagonoy. Barangay Gimagtocon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Lagonoy is a municipality comprising 38 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Gimagtocon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
