Barangay Alugmawa

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Alugmawa is one of the administrative divisions of Lambunao in Iloilo, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Alugmawa had a population of 916. This made it the 34th largest of 73 barangays in Lambunao by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Alugmawa accounted for approximately 1.13% of the total population of Lambunao, which stood at 81,236 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Alugmawa changed from 978 to 916, a shift of -6.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Lambunao. Barangay Alugmawa is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
