Barangay Mabungtot

Barangay Mabungtot is a small barangay in the municipality of Langiden, located in the province of Abra, in the CAR region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Mabungtot had a population of 553. This made it the 3rd largest of 6 barangays in Langiden by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mabungtot accounted for approximately 15.46% of the total population of Langiden, which stood at 3,576 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 467 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 553 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +18.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Mabungtot as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Langiden is a municipality comprising 6 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Mabungtot, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
