Barangay Casampagaan

Barangay Casampagaan is a small barangay in the municipality of Laoac, located in the province of Pangasinan, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Casampagaan had a population of 1,157. This made it the 18th largest of 22 barangays in Laoac by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Casampagaan accounted for approximately 3.39% of the total population of Laoac, which stood at 34,128 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Casampagaan moving from 938 residents to 1,157 residents, an intercensal change of +23.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Casampagaan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
