Barangay Cagdara-o

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Cagdara-o is one of the administrative divisions of Laoang in Northern Samar, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Cagdara-o had a population of 607. This made it the 40th largest of 56 barangays in Laoang by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cagdara-o accounted for approximately 1.00% of the total population of Laoang, which stood at 60,607 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cagdara-o moving from 596 residents to 607 residents, an intercensal change of +1.8%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Cagdara-o as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Laoang is a municipality comprising 56 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cagdara-o, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
