Barangay Guilaoangi (Pob.)

Situated in Laoang, Northern Samar, Barangay Guilaoangi (Pob.) is one of 56 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Guilaoangi (Pob.) had a population of 2,415. This made it the 5th largest of 56 barangays in Laoang by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Guilaoangi (Pob.) accounted for approximately 3.98% of the total population of Laoang, which stood at 60,607 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Guilaoangi (Pob.) changed from 2,514 to 2,415, a shift of -3.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Laoang. Barangay Guilaoangi (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Laoang is a municipality comprising 56 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Guilaoangi (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
