Barangay Mabini

Barangay Mabini forms part of Lapinig, a municipality in Northern Samar, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Mabini had a population of 637. This made it the 8th largest of 15 barangays in Lapinig by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mabini accounted for approximately 5.38% of the total population of Lapinig, which stood at 11,844 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Mabini moving from 746 residents to 637 residents, an intercensal change of -14.6%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Mabini as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Lapinig is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Mabini, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
