Barangay Canlasog

Situated in Larena, Siquijor, Barangay Canlasog is one of 23 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Canlasog had a population of 329. This made it the 21st largest of 23 barangays in Larena by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Canlasog accounted for approximately 2.28% of the total population of Larena, which stood at 14,454 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 322 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 329 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +2.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Canlasog is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Larena is a municipality comprising 23 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Canlasog, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Siquijor, which contains 134 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Canlasog ranks 114th by 2020 population.
