Barangay Sicalao

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Sicalao is one of the administrative divisions of Lasam in Cagayan, Cagayan Valley, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Sicalao had a population of 1,949. This made it the 8th largest of 30 barangays in Lasam by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sicalao accounted for approximately 4.73% of the total population of Lasam, which stood at 41,225 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Sicalao moving from 1,812 residents to 1,949 residents, an intercensal change of +7.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Sicalao is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Lasam is a municipality comprising 30 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sicalao, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
