Barangay Baco

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Baco is one of the administrative divisions of Leyte in Leyte, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Baco had a population of 1,010. This made it the 18th largest of 30 barangays in Leyte by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Baco accounted for approximately 2.50% of the total population of Leyte, which stood at 40,397 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Baco moving from 1,103 residents to 1,010 residents, an intercensal change of -8.4%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community.
